I know a lot of people are really excited about the $8.00/2 Covergirl Face Products coupon that came out today.
However, there has been a lot of argument as to what this can actually be used towards since some have different definitions of what exactly a "Face Product" is.
So this is a guide from Covergirl themselves as to how they define their make-up and beauty product categories:
Face Products:
Foundation, Powder, Concealer, Blush, Bronzer and Face Tools (Powder Brush, Blush Brush, Powder Puffs, Sponge Puffs and Sponge Wedges)
Eye Products:
Mascara, Eye Shadow, Eye Liner, and Eye Tools
Lip Products:
Lip Gloss, Lip Color, Lip Liner
This coupon is only good for the "Face Products" listed above and should not be used for any other items!
Sure you may get a cashier who says "Yeah Eye Shadow is a face product" and allow you to use it...but this is simply misuse of the coupon. When the store tries to redeem their money from Covergirl they will have to also show what item was purchased with that coupon used and then they will not get paid for that item once it is shown that it was not used towards a "Face Product". I agree that Covergirl should have made a better effort to state what they considered Face Products on the coupon itself.
This is almost the same as stealing or fraud on your part (if you do this intentionally!). This is also the reason we do not see coupons like these very often anymore as well as the reason the restrictions on such coupons keep getting worse!! Even more...this is why stores themselves are putting down such harsh restrictions on their coupon acceptance policies.
So please stick to the guidelines. If you want to continue to enjoy the rewards of coupons don't misuse or abuse them! Please feel free to share this and pass it along so that we can get the word out to others before they head to the stores!

Well now I feel bad,Ive used 5 of my coupons and all went through with no issues or questions. And now I read this. :(
Honest mistakes happen!! I have done them and so has everyone else. It is more about those who know this information yet still go out and try to get items they shouldn't. Don't feel bad for being human and making a mistake. Live and Learn. I myself didn't realize that they didn't consider eye shadow a "Face Product" since it goes on your FACE! Luckily I haven't used mine yet but now that I know what to use it in...I will be sure to stick to the guidelines.

I went to redeem this coupon today and was standingin front of all the make-up wondering what was meant by 'face' make-up. I was so confused I ended up not getting anything and was hoping I wasn't the only one! Thanks for the clarification.
